QR codes and printing

Getting the code onto the tables, and where to put it.

Where should the QR code go?

One card per table, plus one at the bar and one wherever people queue. Guests upload where they are sitting.

The single biggest determinant of how many photos you get back is how many times somebody sees the code without having to look for it. A card at the entrance is seen once, by people carrying coats.

Somewhere people wait is the other high-value spot: a queue is dead time, and dead time is when a code gets scanned.

A printed code has stopped working. What happened?

Somebody rotated the guest link. Rotating it invalidates every code already printed, which is why the button says so.

Rotating is the right move if the link has been shared somewhere it should not have been, but it is rarely the best first response. Closing uploads or turning on approval solves most versions of that problem without killing fifty printed cards.

If the link was rotated by mistake, generate new cards from the print shop. The old ones cannot be revived.
